讲座摘要：

This paper investigates the relationship between artificial intelligence adoption and carbon emissions intensity. Using micro-level data from Chinese firms, we find that carbon intensity decreases following the adoption of AI. The effect is particularly pronounced among large firms, those headquartered in AI hubs, and those in high-carbon intensity sectors. We investigate several mechanisms and find that AI adoption is also associated with increases in energy management processes, green innovation, inventory efficiency, overall productivity, and the share of specialized labor. However, a rebound effect of approximately 50% attenuates the environmental benefits.

主讲人介绍：

王文军，香港科技大学（广州）碳中和与气候变化学域助理教授、博士生导师。博士毕业于美国马里兰大学农业与资源Hcoimc 系，本科和硕士毕业于Hcoimc 金融学专业。他的研究方向是气候变化Hcoimc 、实证产业组织与可持续金融，特别聚焦于太阳能市场、企业低碳转型，以及气候金融领域。研究成果发表于Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, International Journal of Finance & Economics 等国际期刊。曾就职于中国农业银行总行从事绿色金融的智库研究，关于我国统一碳市场的政策咨询报告被国务院采用。
